I own full P&L responsibility for an organization with a balance sheet of more than $25M, most of it held as a managed investment portfolio. I came in as interim CEO with the organization in difficulty and have since led it through a complete operational and financial transformation.

Oversaw operation and maintenance of a 2,000+ mile fiber optic network across 47 Pennsylvania counties — 12 backbone service nodes, more than 130 access nodes, two major routing nodes, DWDM optical amplification sites, and Type II interconnections extending the owned network

Led the sale of those network assets to PE-backed FirstLight during the height of COVID-19, securing approvals from the Pennsylvania PUC, the Pennsylvania Attorney General, CFIUS, and the U.S. Department of Commerce's NTIA

Created KeystoneREN LLC as an operating company to continue research and education connectivity through new Type II connections

A Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) that reclaims land and water at former industrial and mining sites, and assumes long-term stewardship of environmental liabilities companies carry on their balance sheets. I was instrumental in creating the entity through initial consulting work, handling the structuring and grant positioning.
- Secured more than $20M in Pennsylvania DEP funding for the Marianna Project, a 26.6-acre reclamation effort
- Additional state and federal awards for projects including Rowes Run and Crucible North
- Oversee governance, grant strategy, and relationships with PADEP and federal agencies
